How to apply for a visa
You will find all relevant information on the main website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
Please note that you will have to pay a fee for the visa application, and a fee to the VFS Center.
The application process has two steps:
(A) Application and payment (EUR 80/EUR 120 for Gambian Citizens) online and
(B) Submission of documents and biometrics at the Visa Application Centre (service fee XOF 8515).

The processing time is normally 15 days (45 days for Gambian Citizens) starting from the date of appointment at VFS Global and their transmission to the Embassy.
We strongly encourage candidates to apply as soon as possible. You can submit your application up to 6 months before the desired entry date.
- First you submit an application on this page: https://applyvisa.um.dk/Here you register a user and then fill out information in 20 steps. To complete the application you pay the visa fee (€ 80/€120 for Gambian Citizens). Remember to print the cover letter and payment receipt in color.
- After this, you submit biometrics and supporting documents. This is done by physical appointment with VFS, a Visa Application Center that processes applications for Denmark. You register a user and book an appointment on this webpage https://visa.vfsglobal.com/mli/en/dnk/
Make sure to bring all the required documents to the appointment.
